I know, I am a few months late. July 22, 2009

I will start this blog by apologizing for taking so long to blog. My intention was to blog quite a bit sooner but time has seriously flown by FAST and today I woke up and told myself I needed to blog and post some pics of my CUTE boy!

March 25th 2009 at 3am Corbin Wyllem Daniel Klesken entered this world @ 7 pounds 0 ounces 21inches. He was so eager to come into the world he decided to make his entrance 2 weeks early. When my water broke I was in complete shock I still had a minimum of 2 weeks left, goodness I still had things to prepare, however God had other plans.

Corbin was the BEST birthday present a mom could ever ask for!

When Corbin was 3 weeks old he got thrush:( We delt with it using Gentian Violet which worked the first few times. Saddly it came back and filled his little body. My midwife suggested using a baby acidophilus/probiotic which worked almost instantly! I am so glad she suggested that because I didn’t want to have to put him on any antibiotics.

Exactly 1 month after Corbin was born, Andrew & I celebrated our 1 year anniversary! Looking back over the year a lot has happened and we are so blessed.

A few days after our anniversary Andrew was called into a meeting at work and they laid him off along with over half of the sales team there at ADP in Seattle and about 90% of the sales teams nationwide were also laid off.

When Andrew got laid off it was a total shock. He was blessed with a decent severance package including several weeks of health coverage. He has been diligently looking for work since, but he hasn’t found the right job yet. We are blessed to be able to live here at my parents house right now and that he is able to claim unemployment. Through all of this we have just been thanking God for my parents to allow us to live with them. God knew Andrew was going to loose his job so he prepared all our hearts to give up our independancy and my parents hearts to open up their home to the now 3 of us.

Corbin as you can imagine has grown so much since birth and has also had several “FIRST’S” and with Auntie Lil around some of the “first’s” are abnormal.

1st months “First’s” with Auntie Lil included…

  • Tummy time in the mailbox
  • Climbing trees & fences
  • Crossing the street

1st months “First’s” for everyone else…

  • 2 1/2 weeks old he gave his first smile
  • Started “ahhh-ing”
  • Waking up happy with huge smiles for mommy

And this all happened the day before he turned ONE month old.

“First’s” from his 2nd – 4th month:

  • He started “goo” & “gaa-ing” on Mothers day… this boy sure knows how to give great gifts! His wifey will be soo blessed!
  • Third Day was his first concert!!!!
  • Started laughing
  • Rolling over is fun – But whats a boy supposed to do when he ends up on his tummy?! fuss so mommy will flip you back over so he can do the whole thing over again… I now leave him for a bit so he can learn to flip the rest of the way.

And that is just to name a few of his first’s.

The other day I weighed him and drum roll please…. He weighed a WHOPPING 16 pounds 2 ounces! He has more than doubled his weight in  less then 4 months… That doesn’t seem to big when I compare him to a little boy that goes to our church that is 5 weeks old and weighs 13 pounds 9 ounces WOW!!! He’s a cutie though:)

Well, we have been battling the teething monster the past month and now we can see the end of the tunnel! Corbin’s gums are startnig to turn white! Saddly for him it looks as though he may have 4 teefers comin’ in on the bottom. I’ll make sure to post pics once they come in.

Thank You to all who have been dedicated to checking on my blog to see if I had blogged lately. I promise to Blog more frequently… I think I may even start a food blog and Blog about foods that I’ve tried & made! I’ll let ya know when I get that up and running.

There are a few pics of Me in labour, our little man & family in the blog to follow. Enjoy!!!

We Love you all!

For those who haven’t gone and made your predictions on our little ones arrival need to do so ASAP cause drum roll please…. MY MUCUS PLUG JUST CAME OUT!!! In fact it is still coming out — OH MY WORD!!! It’d happening!!!

I must say I got kinda scared cause I didn’t know what was happening cause there was heaps of blood tinged watery mucusy stuff coming out of me… I am so glad my mom was home so I called her in the bathroom to check and yep she said it was my plug! AHHHHHHHH!

When I woke up this morning I felt kinda different very fluttery/antsy inside and I think it is because my body is really preparing itself now for the adventure that is to come in the next couple weeks. EEEKKKSSSS!!! It’s really becoming real now! We could have a baby any time from now and 2 weeks!

Little Update on our Watermelon March 23, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — ona @ 1:50 pm

Hey Hey Everyone!

Well since I wrote last I had a moment that I thought baby was truly coming. Wednesday, March 18th I had been feeling kinda weird all day and braxton  were pretty consistent. That night I was home relaxing watching LOST (good show!) and started having Braxton Hiks/Contractions one on top of each other along with major pressure on my cervix. I let my mom know how I was feeling and she was even thinking WOW WE COULD HAVE A BABY SOON. Around midnight after drinking tons of water I decided to try to go to bed and well I woke up the next day and felt totally fine. Come to find out it was a mixture of two things — yes I was having braxton hiks/contractions but I had been taking some herbs that are to help with the labour delivery process and well I had been having a reaction to one of the herbs and it was raising my blood pressure which was making me feel weird. Wednesday I took the herbs to close together and they threw my body through a major loop — I was pretty much on a high NO FUN. As of this past Saturday my midwife took me off the herbs when she took my blood pressure and it was 135/80 and I am usully 120/60… when I was leaving my midwife appt she retook my blood pressure and it was a bit lower 125/75 so she switched me to a homeopathic remedy which is so much better… I NO longer feel like I am on a little bit of a high right after I taking them like I did with the herbs.

As I said above I had a midwife appt Saturday. It went well. Ann checked me and she couldn’t reach my cervix so I still have about 2 weeks left… BUT anything can happen between now and April 5th. I have told Baby-Babe he or she can only be one week late. So if you all will stand in prayer with me that Baby-babe will agree with mommy and daddy that would be wonderful! I know baby-babe listens to mommy and daddy cause we have told him or her that head down is the way to be and stay and baby has listened! So, so far we have an obedient little one! Thank You Jesus!

After thinking that I could have possibly became a mommy on Wednesday has really made me think A LOT about what being a mom entails and well I got full of excitement/nervousness. I know I can do it, I was created to be a daughter, wife and mommy but at the same time my life is about to change yet again (oh change is so hard yet at the same time I am getting used to things changing)… In just a few short weeks I’m going to be wife/mommy not just wife. Goodness I am still trying to become a good wife and now add mommy ontop — God will be my strength and my guide. AHHHH I am going to become a mommy!

After my midwife appt on Saturday Andrew took my out to celebrate my birthday since he has to work lat on my actual birthday. He took me to this ABSOLUTELY AMAZING Sushi restaurant in Federal Way called Blue Island. OH MY WORD it was fabulous! After lunch we headed over to walmart to complete my birth kit then we headed home to meet up with  my sis so she could take a few preggers pics of us sadly it started raining so we only got a few. That night Andrew took me to the movies to see Duplicity (ok movie — I think it is one of those you need to see twice)! I loved spending the day with him and only him… We are trying to sieze any moment wee have alone right now cause in a few short weeks alone will be a word of the past for awhile.

Here are a few pictures from the past couple weeks.

Our little or BIG Watermelon!!! March 17, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — ona @ 3:25 pm

37-weeks-delivery-watermelonWeek 37: YAY! My pregnancy is considered full term, meaning baby is likely to thrive after birth.  Baby-babe will spend these last few weeks in preparation for the outside world… Meaning careful refinement of the blink, suck, inhale and exhale. Meconium, which will probably be found in the first diaper, is accumulating in the intestines. During the journey out of my womb, baby will produce MORE stress  hormones than any other time in life. Goodness and I thought I was a high stress person — I can’t even imagine.

Changes in our baby’s weight have leveled off with only a few ounces of fat added this week. At this point our baby should be weighing in at around 7lbs and 20 inches (with boys somewhat heavier and longer then girls). Happily, as far as internal organs go, they are now developed enough to function in the outside world although the oh-so-important immune system it still developing and will continue to do so after birth. With a large boost of antibodies provided by breast milk when nursing begins. Fighting infections and staying healthy should be well within the physical capacity when our little one is born.

Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. Don’t be surprised if our baby’s hair isn’t the same colour as  mine or Andrews because there are several hair colours that run through both our families. Blonde, Red, Black, Brown and well Peach Fuzz. I am either hoping for brown or peach fuzz.

Mommy & Daddy Update:

Sorry for not updating over the past couple weeks. I have been busy getting things together for the baby and when I am not doing that I am so worn out I don’t even want to think about updating. My apologies to all those dedicated readers.

Here are some pictures that my sister took last week of Andrew and I at the railroad tracks down the road from us to make up for not updating.074on068

Two weeks ago I started taking some herbs called Polly-Jeans 5 week formula. These capsules are to make labour less painful/shorter and less bleeding during and after birth. With taking these capsules they are making me have more random contractions and more and more braxton hicks. Let me just say I am so glad that God doesn’t just throw you into full on contrations but rawther eases you into it over several weeks032.0143

Guess what?! I have DROPPED! Well baby has dropped, majorly. I am starting to waddle more and more. It is rawther funny initially and then after about an hour its uncomfortable. My mom said she wouldn’t be surprised if I go into labour in the next few week:) Oh I hope she is right! This coming Saturday I have the first of my weekly midwife appointments (I should have started last week but she has been in africa) and I am hoping she will agree with my mom about me having baby-babe with in these next 3ish weeks! I am atleast hoping baby-babe will hold out until at least April cause we don’t really want a March baby since pretty much Andrews WHOLE ENTIRE (little exagguration but not that much) family was born in march including me his beautiful (hugely pregnant beached whale) wifey.

Last week Walgreens was having a GREAT sale on Huggies diapers and Johnson’s and Johnson’s products and with my mom being a coupon collector we got TONS and TONS of both those items for next to nothing — in fact there was one sale we were supposed to get money back but since they don’t pay customers to leave with products we had to buy another item and leave paying .39 cents… Pretty much we are stocked up for awhile.

Last weekend I had my “Green” Baby Shower (gift card shower). It made the thought of having a baby more of a reality. My mom and sister decorated it very spring like with birds, nests and the colours blues and pinks since we don’t know what we are having. It was so beautiful! This baby shower was the first of two, After our little baby-babe is born we will have a CO-ED Shower so we can show off our baby and we will actually register for a few things since we will know if we had a Boy or Girl obviously:)

Over this next week I will be finalizing things like, getting my home birth kit filled, organizing the music I want played during the labour on a playlist, collecting things I will want for baby prior to the birth i.e. receiving blankets sleepers… Looking at it it doesn’t seem like a lot to do but it is I’ve already been out several times collecting things and I am not even half way done.

Next week is my golden birthday 25 on the 25th! I have decided since it is sooo close to my due date that I am going to party it up with friends probably sometime in July so we can get together outside!

I must say we have had a VERY eventful year! Last April Andrew and I got married, July 25 (our 3 month anny) we found out we were expecting our first little one,  Next week I turn 25 (a quarter of a century young), the first week of April Andrew and I will become Mommy & Daddy, and April 25th we will celebrate our First Anniversary!!!! WOW! How time flies!

Andrew is doing good. He has been very busy with work. He works roughly with driving 12-14 hr days right now. Be praying for him. He got several new banks and keeping in contact with them along with his regular territory he is worn out by the time he walks through the door. Sunday is really his only day to relax and do NOTHING besides church and really our only day to catch up because we have designated Saturdays to be our get-things-done-day. He is such an amazing man and I am so proud of what he is doing and accomplishing.

To our Baby-Babe: Only 3ish weeks until you are due to enter this world and your daddy and I can hardly believe it. These past 9 months have flown by so incredibly fast! Pretty soon you will be in our arms and I will no longer have to wonder who you look like or if you’re a little boy or little girl. Pretty much everyone give or take a few seem to think you’re a little man — so everyone shall be very surprised if you end up being a little princess BUT until you enter this world you shall keep us all wondering. Oh Baby I can’t wait to kiss your little toes, feet, boomer, fingers, hands, lips, nosey and well… ALL of you! You are the bestest in the worlest our lovely baby and everyone is patiently awaiting your very soon arrival. Mommy and Daddy Love Love Love you soooo muches. XOXOXO

Upside-down Baby! March 1, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — ona @ 9:19 pm

33-36-weeks-honeydew1Week 33-34: Baby’s senses are continuing to improve — when light peeks through my (extremely) stretched belly, those tiny eyelids and irises blink and dilate. And, baby’s itty bitty earbuds perk up at the sound of my gentle voice and can recognize and react to simple songs…Growth (at least inside my womb) is starting to slow down. Our amazing baby is on the move! He or she has been stretching-out in my womb till now (while kindly compressing my poor internal organs), but now baby is descending into my pelvis. In liver news: although not quite fully formed, our little miracle’s liver is now capable or processing a certain amount of waste. In general, most of our baby’s prenatal physical development is pretty up to snuff and ready for the outside world.

On terms of appearances, our baby is getting cuter and pudgier every minute as he or she pile on the baby fat for those adorable little wrist rolls and chubby toes. And as I have already noticed those hand and feet are getting stronger every passing day. Nowadays, it’s even possible to observe a well-placed kick just by watching my belly. Although they’re getting stronger, my bigger-by-the-day baby is losing space to move around, so the actual rate of movement has and will be dropping off in these next few weeks, despite the powerful drop-kicks baby has been working on.

The bones in the skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for baby to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don’t entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as baby’s brain and other tissue expand during infancy and childhood.

34weeksBaby Stats:

  • Baby is 12 3/4in (crown to rump) 17.2″-18.7″ (head to toe – and boy do I feel all those inches)
  • Weight 5lbs
  • Heart rate 120′s – low 130′s (after week 35 predicting the gender through the heart rate is 85% accurate)
  • Baby is head down on the right side
  • Sleep cycle is awake a majority of the day and up once maybe twice at night. (I am really liking this schedule)

Update on Mommy & Daddy:

Life is going good with Andrew and I.

Last week Andrew spent a week in New Jersey for Sales Training . He learned A LOT! While there he received a call from his bosses boss  letting him know that they were giving him 21 WAMU banks! WOW what a blessing it was to hear that news! At the end of the week Andrew went to South Jersey to visit his Cousin’s and Aunt Mary and Uncle Larry. While visiting them he got to attend his Grandpops Slovak Church — he even met some ladies that babysat his dad!

When Andrew was in NJ, I stayed back home and completely organized our room… pretty much I have started nesting! Besides nesting I missed Andrew like nothing else. Next year when he has training I am so going with him cause one week away from my husband is waaaay to LONG.

Over this past week the shape of my belly has changed so much along with how much baby moves. It is soo amazing how I can see baby’s foot rub across my belly and how that little boomer can get up into my ribs — and boy does baby like to put it’s boomer up there WAAAY up there! But to be honest I wouldn’t exchange these moments for anything as uncomfortable as they can be at times.

This past Tuesday I had my 34 weeks Midwife appt. All was great! I learned why my lower back and pubic bone have been feeling some pain and it is due to relaxin. Relaxin is a hormone produced during pregnancy that allows the birth process by increasing collagen breakdown which in turn causes a softening and lengthening of the cervix and the pubic symphysis . It allows the baby to pass through the birth canal. This is a good thing for a pregnant woman. Although, the pain that comes with relaxin is not that great. I am blessed though, my midwife showed Andrew  how he can adjust me with just adding a bit of pressure to my knees!

Wednesday morning I woke up with a sore throat and then this morning (Thursday) I woke up with a bit of a tickle in my nose which throughout the day progressed into sneezing, coughing and pressure in my head… UGH. NO FUN. And the sad thing is since I have a cold I had to cancel my massage for tomorrow:(I hope this cold doesn’t last very long… In Jesus name AMEN!

To our Little Wiggle Worm: Oh our baby babe how you are growing so incredibly muches! You have been moving a lot! I love feeling your itty bitty footsie rub across my tummy!  Mommy bought you some onsies today and they are sooo cute and little I can hardly believe you are going to be that small:) Mommy and Daddy can hardly wait to meet our little miracle! Only 5 and a half weeks until you will be ready to come into the world! We Love you very much Baby! XOXOX

Another day… Another ounce! February 12, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — ona @ 8:37 pm

week-32Week 31 & 32: Our not-so-little-one is just a bit closer to their birth weight and height at around 4lbs and 17in. With each added layer of baby fat, our baby’s skin is starting to look more and more like it will when baby Klesken finally gets to see the light of day. The heavy news: I can expect our miracle-grow muffin to gain about a half a pound of weight per week from now until about two weeks before birth. That’s about 3 1/2lbs!

Our baby’s still-developing immune system has gained substantial strength over the past few weeks getting him or her in full gear to face the world o’wonders. Obviously, a large majority of our child’s immune strength will be derived from exposure to breastmilk as well as the outside elements. The cute little noggin’ (which could already be covered with luscious locks or just purty peach fuzzies), is still soft because the skull bones have not fused together. As much as that sounds a little too vulnerable, their “skull softness” allows for a much smoother passage through the birth canal during labor — something both me and out little wiggle worm will appreciate when it’s finally time to “go!” Also, some babies wil have that  “soft spot” on their head for up to one year after birth.

In the latest womb reports, our amazing baby has now developed sensitivity to temperature!  This means I get swift kicks when baby senses  warmth on my ginormous belly. Baby’s eyes are a beautiful shade of blue. At this point, all babies do, although depending on their chromosomal disposition, this could easily change afterr birth ( or even between now and labor), but for the time being, blue it is.

Our baby now has finger nails and toe nails that are long enough to reach the tip of the fingers and toes (YAY! that means if it’s a girl I can give her a french pedicure while I’m healing!).

Mommy and Daddy update:

p20800041p2080003 Pregnancy wise I am doing great! our little one has discovered that moving around and pushing mommies belly into different shapes is a lot of fun! Last week, Andrew and I were at church and while our pastor was praying we held hands and baby sensed Andrew’s hand next to my belly and it just went crazy and made my belly look like ripples in a lake after you throw a rock in it. It was soooo weird. Oh and we mustn’t forget waking and keeping mommy up in the middle up the night for a gymnastics show! I think our little wiggle worm may tryout for the Olympics someday if not tap dancing:)

This week, I had my 32 week midwife appointment. Here are the stats from that appointment…

  • My Blood Pressure – 116/64
  • Baby’s Heart Rate – a strong 131!
  • Glucos Level – Great! I passed! although, my iron and blood platlets were low but that is most likely due to the large amount of extra fluid my body is producing right now. My midwife is going to test me on my 34 week appointments to confirm it’s just because of that.
  • Belly Measurements – a whopping 39 inches! one foot (two legs, another foot, two hands a head and a baby body) rounder then my pre-pregnancy measurments. It’s weird to look down and not see my feet and not be able to bend over. UGH…

cartoon-week-32p2080008p2080006Yesterday, my mom and I went shopping to find me some preggo jeans and boy there is next to nothing out there. You either have to spend and arm, leg and thigh to get something somewhat cute or pay an arm & leg for something that I wouldn’t even allow my husband to see me in in-the-dark. Before we left we did some maternity store research online so we would know what stores to hit and which ones to pass up. We started our maternity jean shopping experience at University Village in Seattle and well we found nothing partially cause I am not feeling that small and they had nothing that looked good on my curvy body.  After we covered all the shoppes at U. Village we decided to venture over the 520 floating bridge (first time I went over that bridge and it was rawther fun!) to Bellevue Square Mall and hit up the Maternity stores there — our first stop was MiMi Maternity (I don’t know why I always look there beacause there is absolutely nothing that I would wear… anyways) we were greeted by this very tacky tiny iny weeny lady who had NO tact whatsoever. Anyways, she asked if she could help me find some jeans and I agreed (here is the part of the story NO pregnant woman wants to hear yet alone any woman) she asked me my size (and to be honest I wasn’t sure cause I had been wearing regular jeans since day one), the tiny weeny lady procedes to tell me that “You have large hips so I would most likely say you’re a Large.” and she then comes around to my back and says “You also have a larger butt so ya you’re a Large”. My mom and i snickered and I replied with “Ya, we have established that!” … Goodness that is how you make a pregnant women feel great about her every-growing larger body when she is out to buy jean from you:) oh and I can’t forget to mention I was already feeling ughy about my larger hips and butt and then she had to rub it in… anyways I’m not hurt about it cause I know she really didn’t know any better and well I’m pregnant and it comes with the territory. Oh and it added a good laugh to my could have been depressing shopping experience.

After that glorious experiance I left not buying anything and we went to the next store and well I found some jeans! but wait, they were to big (that was a great pick-me-up!) and sadly they didn’t have my size and even if they did they were alot of money so I passed on them — but since I knew the jeans I wanted I decided to get onto my phone and google them and I found them online for half the price. YAY! So we came home and bought them… I am so excited to finally have my first pair of preggo jeans and not just any jeans they are made like regular jeans, just lower in the front and have elastic tabs in the waist line so I can wear them even after I have the baby!

Anyways enough about my wonderful fabulous jeans story.

Andrew and I are almost all settled in to our room. We had to wait for a nice day so we could paint a dresser that will hold our towels, and little extra stuffs — and well that day was today! so as I write Andrew is taking the dresser upstairs YAY!

This weekend is Valentines Day and oh I am excited! This year will be our first V-Day as Husband and Wife and really our first together. Although, we did have one together last year Andrew was called into work and well we didn’t get to do anything — so that is why I am excited! He is taking me to breakfast on Alki Beach then to Pike Place/Down Town Seattle! I sure love it up there!

This coming Sunday Andrew leave for a week to New Jersey for work. He is excited because we has family that live over there that he hasn’t seen for some time now. He has class from Monday – Friday, so on Friday he will meet up with his family and spend two days with them. While my Husband is gone on “vacation” I will be here at home completing our room so once he does get home we won’t have to do anything more in there.

To our little Baby-babe: Before we went to our midwife appointment this week I told you to beat your heart steady and strong and that you would be head down and that is exactly what you did! A heart beat strong at 131bpm and you were head down! Ann took an US and you made sure you showed us your beautiful full lips and then you blew us a kiss! Mommy and Daddy were filled with such joy! You are getting so big, almost 4lbs! Only 7 1/2 weeks left and you will be fully grown and ready to come into this world with mommy and daddy and we will be able to kiss those beatiful full lips mmmm mmm… Baby know mommy and daddy love you and pray for you and know God has a great calling upon your life. Love you so muches Our Baby Babe! xoxox

To Pee or Not to Pee January 30, 2009

29-32-weeks1Week 29 & 30: Our Baby’s energy is surging, it has managed to accumulate enough baby fat to account for nearly 3.5% of it’s overall body weight. Yeah, compared to adults, it’s  not a lot, but when they’re little like that — it’s certainly a healthy (and warming) accomplishment in its way. In addition our little one is perfecting the hiccups: a fairly common occurrence at this point resulting from practicing breathing for their big birthday. Also this month, all five senses are finally functional, and the brain and nervous system are going through major developments. Another fantastic accomplishment: our baby’s spleen is now in charge of hematopoiesis — the 10 dollar name for the process involved in building up certain important blood components.

30-week-baby1Now here is some fun facts: Our little one has been peeing into the amniotic sac for awhile now (this is why potty training can take a while) and if you didn’t know, actually swallows it along with the rest of the amniotic fluid. Although the concept sounds nasty, their urine is sterile and as part of the amniotic fluid base, it’s replaced several times throughout the day. So for those who said they have never drank their own urine — well you are wrong — you were still in the womb, but nonetheless, you’ve been there.

Since the baby’s eyelids are now unfused, they can open wide and close. Much of the time, baby’s eyes are open and the eyes are practicing “looking” movements. Our baby’s eyesight is continuing to develop, though it’s not very keen; even after baby is born, he or she will keep their eyes closed for a good part of the day. When babys does open them, it will respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means baby can only make out objects a few inches from its face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

The light is visibly at the end of the tunnel!!! My getting oversized self and my amazing baby have reached the single digits (in terms of weeks til birth)! The fine langue hair (the downy hairl tha covered the body) that has been growing all over our little one’s body is going to start falling off this next week in preperation for the big day. Although, some babies keep their lanugo until after birth. Still, it’s not any cause to be concerned as it will fall off eventually. No surprises here: our little baby is getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. In terms of  of numbers, our baby is weighing in at around 3 lbs 12 oz (or more!) and be nearly 16 in long from the head to the little footsies!  Our our Little baby is growing, growing, growing!!!

Update on Mommy & Daddy:

p1250006p1250009Well, I am starting to really feel pregnant. Achy, tired, mostly achy as of lately. I have been dreading anything that has to do with walking or standing cause it hurts so bad. But I can find some relief if I adjust how I walk. I’ve been able to sleep better as the days go by — I think I was having problems sleeping cause we were in the midst of moving and my mind was going on all we needed to do. I haven’t been that swollen lately… in fact its been a couple weeks since I’ve been swollen – Thank You Jesus! That week was no fun at all… antsy legs are ughy. My Braxton Hicks are getting stronger and I have noticed I am getting them more often — I will usually get one and then two or three follow within minutes with each one getting stronger with a bit of pain… I know it’s just a hint of whats to come and I am glad I am getting to experiance them so I some what know what to expect just x10 or so stronger… I have been experiencing the little footsie in the rib quite often– all I have to do to relieve that pressure is sit up really really straight and baby gets the message.

This past Monday I had my week 30 Midwife appt. Everything went very well. I had my glucos testing which I wasn’t excited about cause I had to get my blood drawn… But guess what?! I survived!

Here are my stats from my last appt:

  • My Blood Pressure – 120/61
  • Urine Cultures – I am clear of any infections! (thought you guys may like to know that. I was soo excited!!! cause it’s been my life since I got married.)
  • Baby’s Heart Rate – 130′s-140′s (there has only been two times it’s been higher 1st time was 2 weeks prior to me going into the hospital for my kidney infection and the 2nd time was when I was in the hospital on drugs. So use your imagination on what you think I may be having… who knows?!)
  • Glucos Level – I am guessing they were OK cause she was to get them back the next day and well I haven’t heard anything as of yet and it’s been 4 days. I’ll let you know for sure after my next appt 2/10/09.

Last weekend Andrew and I moved into  my parents place. It has been an interesting change “living like no one else” — We are very blessed and excited for what this means for our future. We are another day closer to being out of debt and “living like no one else!” we are still in the midst of unpacking… We will hopefully have everything for our shelving system this weekend so we can put up the shelves and get stuff out of boxes. Last Sunday I could hardly wait to set up the baby’s little room so I started working in there. Oh  it’s so fun to lay in bed and look in that room and just dream of whats about to come here in the next 9 weeks!

Andrew has been adjusting to his new schedule. his days are starting at 5ish AM every morning. Monday he made it to work on time, Tuesday well he left on time but on his way to work and 18 yr old girl side swiped him then tried to run BUT my hubby cut her off! She had NO insurance and NO job. eeeks! Andrew was ok! alittle shaken up but OK! thank you Jesus! cause it was an icy morning. We got an est for the damages and will hopefully get it in the shop this coming week or next.

Andrew’s job is going well. He is doing great! He is at 100% so far for this calendar year! And had his best month yet this month! In two weeks he will be going on a trip with work to New Jersey for a week.. He will be getting training at the ADP headquarters… Plus he will get to spend some time with his late dad’s side of the family… Let me just say he is rawther excited!

Andrew and I are officially involved with High Pointe Community Church in Puyallup, WA. Last we we attended our first Small Group mtg –  everyone knows our group as the pregnant small group LOL! there are a total of 9 couples… 4 of us are pregnant and 1 had a baby last Sept. It’s really nice to be around people that are in the same stage of life we are.
